Mission

Thank you for visiting the National Wild Horse, Burro & Animal Sanctuary.

Here at the National Wild Horse, Burro and Animal Sanctuary (NWHBAS), we strive to promote the health, well being and the prevention of cruelty to all animals, be it mammal, reptile or bird, regardless of being wild or domesticated. In doing so, we provide a scientific and educational experience for all individuals, young and old, interested in the preservation of such an environment.

Our primary focus is to improve the public awareness and knowledge regarding the history and management of Western American Wild Horses and Burros.

The ranch is available for school field trips and youth education relating to all aspects of conservation, animal welfare, and our environment.

The NWHBAS is organized and operated exclusively as a fully tax-deductible non-profit 501(c)3 corporation for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes.
